WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI -- A 69-year-old Ann Arbor man died after a kayak carrying him and his grandson overturned on Horseshoe Lake.
The grandson was pulled from the water, but the Ann Arbor man went under and did not resurface.

“The hearts of the entire Washtenaw and Livingston counties first responders go out to his family for their loss,” Northfield Township Police Chief Martin Smith said in a written statement.
